A post about my pup

Katie our Catahoula has been going through some major life changes, so I thought I should give her a post of her own.
She is going on 10, and her health has been declining in a fairly big way. The apartment was not good for her in those last months. She could not go down the steps to the apartment so she could only go outside if Scott was home to physically carry her up and down the steps. It is horrible to not even be able to take your own dog out to use the bathroom. I really started worrying that she was going to pass away before we got her into a house. She deserves a yard and things to see, and was just so static in the apartment.

Well, she had a vet appointment about 3 weeks ago to get a rabies update and we walked away with a lot of solutions to try. We put her on Rimodyl, a pain killer which should help with the joint pain and improve mobility. She also is on a very strict diet because she needs to lose 20 pounds (ouch). After just one week with the Rimodyl she was walking around, going down our small set of steps, and acting a lot younger. 5 pounds later and she can handle all of the steps, walk around the house several times (we do laps) and is even taking some adventures down our street.
